Genie checks your saved items periodically in the background, and more often for items you've just added. When a price drops or an item comes back in stock, you get a notification, as long as notifications are switched on for Save Genie. If you need to add more items, you can upgrade to Premium (or remove an item). Only your own tracked products count toward the 15: items you've purchased, notes, and items shared into your collections by other people don't count. Lists and collections are always unlimited.

Premium is an optional subscription, and the price depends on where you live: you'll see it in your own currency in Save Genie before you subscribe. Some of our users save more than it costs in their first few months. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. The free plan stays free either way.

Genie can't make a shop lower its prices, but many stores do drop prices at various times. What Genie does is keep watch for you, checking your saved items periodically and letting you know when a price falls. Genie saves the item anyway and shows a "couldn't read the price" note. You can try again later, enter the price and details by hand, or open the page in your browser to check it yourself. Supported stores improve over time, so an item that won't read today may start working later.

Where a product has a barcode, Genie matches on that barcode, so it's genuinely the same item and not just something similar. When a barcode isn't available, it looks for very close matches. You'll only get a "cheaper elsewhere" alert when Genie is confident it's the same product.

First, make sure notifications are switched on for Save Genie in your device's Settings. You can also check inside the app: tap your profile picture (top right), then Items & Notifications, open any category, and tap Enable Notifications (or Open Settings if they're turned off at the system level). Notifications also need a working internet connection to come through.

No. Save Genie for Mac is free to use, just like on iPhone and iPad. If you go Premium, one subscription covers all your own devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac) signed in with the same Apple Account. It isn't shared through Family Sharing.

To cancel on iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Save Genie. On a Mac: App Store → your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions.

To restore on a new device, open Save Genie, tap your profile picture, then Go Premium, and tap Restore Purchases.

A few ways: paste a link ("New from Clipboard", ⌘⇧V), use the Safari or Chrome extension to save the page you're on, drag a link onto the window, or import your open browser tabs.

There are two ways to share a collection, and people join with a link (they'll need the Save Genie app).

Build together: everyone can add items and react. The owner can see who's adding items and who's marked something as bought, but to everyone else a purchase stays private unless the person chooses to tell the group.

You sign in with Sign in with Apple, so there's no separate email and password account. Ads in the free version are served by Google.

You can delete your account and all its data at any time: tap your profile picture, then Account Actions → Delete Account. This permanently erases your saved products, collections, photos and price history on every device, and can't be undone. See our Privacy Policy.
